SI rubber is an elastomer composed of silicon together with carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. These rubbers are widely used in industry and there are multiple formulations. They may contain fillers to improve properties or reduce cost. SI rubber is generally non-reactive, stable, and resistant to extreme environments and temperatures from -55 to 300 degree celcius while still maintaining its useful properties.

PTFE is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that has numerous applications. Other names polydifluoromethylene or PTFE. Melting point 327 degree celcius. Density 2200 kg/cubic meter. Thermal conductivity 0.25 W/(m.K).
