UPE is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic.It embodies all the characteristics of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) with the added traits of being resistant to concentrated acids and alkalis, as well as numerous organic solvents. It is highly resistant to corrosive chemicals except oxidizing acids; it has extremely low moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of friction; it is self-lubricating and is highly resistant to abrasion, in some forms being 15 times more resistant to abrasion than carbon steel. Its coefficient of friction is significantly lower than that of nylon and acetal and is comparable to that of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, Teflon), but UPE has better abrasion resistance than PTFE.
This series of UPE mouse bottom gliders fully inherit all superior physical and chemical properties of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene raw material mentioned above. No peculiar smell will be released during long-term sliding friction on mouse pads, and it will not produce harmful substances even under continuous high-speed friction heating. Unlike fragile plastic accessories, UPE gliders will not be corroded by sweat, cleaning alcohol or daily chemical residues on the mouse pad surface. Its ultra-low water absorption feature prevents bubbling and degumming caused by damp desktop environment, and the built-in self-lubricating property ensures consistent silky sliding feeling throughout the whole service life without becoming sticky or sluggish after long-time gaming. Thanks to its stronger anti-wear performance than PTFE, UPE mouse feet can maintain intact smooth surface far longer, greatly reducing your frequency of replacement.
